You can make a difference by joining the effort to help the thousands whose lives were swallowed up on March 11 in Japan. It’s been a few weeks, so now is the perfect time to pitch in again after the first round of relief.
 
World Relief (full disclosure: I’ll be interning with them this summer) is helping the victims of the recent tsunami by providing aid and disaster relief. Share support by shooting a text to with the word “WAVE” to 50555. This will donate $10 dollars directly to aid for our coastal neighbors across the Pacific.
 
There are many other outlets for helping: organizations like Unicef, World Vision, and the Red Cross to name a few. Check out the Huffington Post for other options to aid the rebuilding effort.
 
Some waves are the antithesis of perfect. That said, you can probably get by without a few sticks of wax for your board. Help out the global coastal community and spare an extra $10 if you are so inclined.
